CREATING AN EDUCATIONAL REFUGE IN THE MIDST OF A PANDEMIC

During the COVID-19 pandemicof 2020, many parents found
themselves bewildered by theeducational system. Fearing their
children would suffer academically,many sought out opportunities
to continue their children ‘seducation.  Through crowdfunding
efforts, YDH Consulting created the YDH I.D.E.A Learning Pod.
This program gave students a rich educational experience where
children could engage in outdoorlearning environments using green
spaces in the community. The learning pod worked collaboratively
with parents and community organizations to provide
environmental education, creative and cultural arts, urban
gardening, and literacy support.  Our inclusive program served
students in grades K- 4, including those with different abilities.
YDH was there to serve families by administering educational
resources during a very challenging and uncertain time.
