Yolanda D. Hamilton, Ed. M FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL DEI CONSULTANT

Yolanda Hamilton is the Founder and Principal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant of YDH Consulting, located in the cities of Shaker Heights, & Garfield Heights, Ohio.

Her areas of expertise include guiding organizations with strategies to operationalize their diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to create sustainable practices and drive systems change.

YDH Consulting has served many organizations on a national level leading their efforts of effective change management through the implementation of business practices that prioritize diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility as a key business strategy.

In addition to her consultancy, Yolanda dedicates her time serving as an active member in her local community. Currently, her community involvement includes serving as the Business Advisor for the Northeast Ohio Association of Hispanic Health, a non-profit dedicated to health equity in the Latino community, Treasurer for the Ruffing Montessori Family Association Board, Member of the Stop the Hate Committee of the Maltz Museum Respect for Humanity, and the National Parents Union.

Her commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility has been highlighted on national platforms and in 2022 she received the President’s Award from the NPU for her dedication to educational equity.

Yolanda holds a Masters of Education in Diversity & Equity from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, Bachelor of Business Administration with specializations in International Business and Spanish from the University of Toledo, and a Certificate of Spanish Language & Culture from La Universidad Automono de Guadalajara, of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Garnett Hamilton

Accounting Manager

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies, Garnett Hamilton migrated to the U.S. to pursue higher education, graduating with a BSc. from Myers University. He has since then taken on various roles in the financial sector working for Twin Hospitality Group, Hilton, property management groups, and other  corporations in Northeast Ohio.
Garnett currently serves as the Accounting Manager for YDH. With a passion for accuracy and a dedication to excellence, Garnett Hamilton made a significant impact driving financial success and operational efficiency within the company, resulting in the company receiving the $25, 000 Stimulus Grant from Cuyahoga County to support capacity building.
In addition to his role, He operates the First Touch Futbol program which supports the development of future soccer players in his local community.

Jesús Sánchez

Lead Consultant

Born in Carolína, Puerto Rico Jesús Sánchez grew up in Lorain, Ohio. He studied Biology at the University of Findlay earning a B.Sc and later obtaining a Master’s of Science from John Carroll University.  Jesús has worked in various capacities within the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion pertaining to environmental justice and equitable access to greenspace for B.I.P.O.C populations. He is recognized as an esteemed leader with the Latinx community of Northeast Ohio and has previously served as Director of Programs at Esperanza Inc., directing programming that provided educational support within Cleveland’s Latinx community. His passion for experiential learning led him to the position of Education Director for the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Here, he collaborated extensively with Cuyahoga Valley National Park staff in developing curriculum, professional development, and working towards an institutional culture that embraces diversity, inclusion, and equity.
